Team Managers
Mission: To assist and support coaches, players and be a constant line of communication to parents, to make each season successful
Below is a list of duties that a team manager is responsible for:
Get to know your team’s coaches, set up a parent meeting for 1st practice. Make sure to include information regarding dibs, fundraising, the importance of volunteering, State tournament info., etc. Send out communication regarding time and location of this meeting via Crossbar.
Assist coaches with w/paperwork Info requested from coaches for the State at the beginning of the season, Tournament registration, etc.
Look ahead at the game schedule, reserve any Hotel room blocks for overnight games, Tournaments and State Tournaments. Organize team potlucks at hotels, a good one to use is perfect potluck.com. Send out communication regarding the room blocks and potluck info (if needed) via Crossbar.
Collect orders & money, Tournament gate fees, Fundraiser money, Uniform/Sock money, End of year coach’s gifts, etc.
Write articles for Gleaner - Write an article for your team 2x a month, include pictures, and keep these articles positive. Check with parents if they would like to do this- submit by Wed at 12 noon to have in the following week’s paper Send article and pictures to gleaner@invisimax.com
State Tournaments - Collect any fees, set up Potluck, a good one is perfectpotluck.com, Organize State clothing orders (You will receive this info from whomever is hosting). Confirm room blocks, send out communication to parents with deadline to book. Make hotel door signs and arena glass signs, Gift bags for players and coaches (Include the parents on this project, it is fun to get together to make these).
End of season team Celebration - Work with other team managers if club is having an all team Banquet. Organize with Coaches if doing a separate team celebration.
Jr Gold Team manager- work with coach to do a senior night at our home arena.
Most importantly, have fun, involve parents to help with some of these duties, they love to be a part of their player’s season!
